Tag You're It - Stripey

I'm really pleased with this tag. My first day doing any real craft since I came down with a horrible virus ten days ago. I was inspired by the current issue of Craft Stamper magazine which is a recycling special. The ideas really intrigued me and I just happened to have some cardboard waiting to go to the recycling centre so I decided to recycle it myself! The 'ribs' of the cardboard make excellent stripes, and I added some colour to them with Distress Inks and a gold ink pad. I cut the butterflies on the Cuttlebug using more card and coloured them with Distress Inks. I stamped a Paper Artsy stamp on both and embossed in gold. Then I stamped a Paper Bag quote on another piece of cardboard, embossed the edges in gold and added them to the tag. A piece of hairy string completes the look!

Cute Card Thursday - Something You Had For Christmas

I bought this stamp just before Christmas so I hope it will count. What a bashful little bear! I coloured him in Conte coloured pencils (my set purchased in 1986!) and matted him on some paper that came in a Forever Friends boxed set. The background is a piece of Bazzill card put through the Cuttlebug in the Divine Swirl folder.

Sketch Saturday

This is such a lovely sketch that I had to try and get it done - it would have been sooner but I have not been well. I used a lovely Innovative Stamp Creations image for the centre of this sketch, and the papers come from Basic Grey's Urban Couture collection.

Tag You're It - New Stash

I made an Alcohol Ink background and then stamped round the edges with a Paper Artsy swirl stamp and Staz-On. The new part is the unicorn stamp, I bought a set of these last week from Joanna Sheen's sale. I added some glitter to the unicorn with some Sakura Stardust pens.

Penny Black Challenge - Embossing

I bought this stamp just before Christmas and I bought the Cuttlebug Divine Swirl embossing folder just after! The teddy is just so cute! I used a couple of Prima flowers to finish my ATC.

Whiff of Joy Challenge - Contemporary Christmas

Lizzie is in the pink! I used a pink card, and decorated the background with some pearlescent snowflakes cut and embossed on the Cuttlebug. I coloured Lizzie's costume with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, and added some sparkle with Cosmic Shimmer and a Sakura Stardust pen. The mats are a silver sparkly paper, and the greeting is a clear glittery one from Anita. I added some Papermania adhesive gems to the snowflake centres.

House Mouse Challenge - Embossing

This ATC has a hammered card base which I coloured with some chalks, before attaching the pearlescent paper. I embossed this using the Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy folder. The flower in the corner is cut from a Cuttlebug die set.

New Idea

Have you, like me, been sent some stamped images by kind people? Do you have ones of your own that you keep intending to use and when you do want to use them, can't find them? I am hopeless at keeping hold of things and got fed up with stamped images going astray, so today I made this folder for them. It is based on a smaller version I made a few years ago to hold postage stamps. I used some papers from the Basic Grey Lily Kate collection, mountboard for the covers, and eyelets that came with the purple Cropadile.

Why Worry?

One of my craft Christmas presents was the 'Memories' ATC kit produced by Crafty Bitz and Leonie Pujol. To make this ATC I used a base card and a frame from the kit, as well as the rub-on words and the lace. The narrow borders are Coredinations Black Magic card scrubbed with a nailfile and then cut with deckle-edged scissors. The picture of the lady came from the ATC Collection book 'Funny Quotes'.

Penny Black Challenge - Multifold Card

I made a gatefold card for this challenge and used three hedgehog images. The embossed papers are done on the Cuttlebug, and I coloured the images with Whispers pens.

Cute Card Thursday - Open Theme

I thought it was a while since I last used my Pink Cat Studio stamps so here is one. I coloured it with Sakura Stardust pens. I used a velvet ribbon at the bottom of the card and decorated it with jewels to look like a bracelet or headband. The backing paper is (I think) from Craft House Press.

Sketch Saturday

I used some paper from My Mind's Eye Bohemia pad for the background. The central image is from a Crafty Individuals image book. I stamped a Paper Artsy frame stamp using four different colours. I used gold mirri card and some textured Coredinations paper for the little mats, and some Prima flowers in the corners.

Sketch Saturday

I couldn't resist the chance to use Willow again. I coloured her with Whispers pens. The main backing paper is from the giant Brenda Pinnock kit QVC had as a TSV a while ago. I used two kinds of textured paper. Scalloped edges are a problem for me to cut so I used some lace instead.

Tag You're It - Brown and Aqua

I used a Cherry Pie stamp for the central image, and inked it with several colours. The papers are from My Mind's Eye Bohemia pad. I used a piece of velvet ribbon in the corner.
