Tale of a One Way Street

This ATC is made using some Paper Artsy Squiggly Ink stamps. I love this row of houses - they are right up my street! I coloured them using the pastel set of Whispers pens, and coloured the card with Distress Inks. I really liked the pens, they are the kind of subtle colours I'd been needing.

Make a Moo or Two - Da Vinci's Ladies

A good opportunity to use these lovely Cherry Pie stamps again. I covered the Moos in some pink and white patterned paper, then stamped in Brilliance 'Coffee Bean' inkpad. I embossed the edges using copper powder.

The two portraits are called 'Lady with an Ermine' and 'Portrait of a Lady'. This is the first time I have done this Challenge.

Think Monday Think ATC - Nostalgia

This is another challenge I am joining for the first time. Perfect for me as ATCs are still my favourite thing! This lady on this star stamp always makes me think of the effortlessly glamorous film stars of the 1930s and 40s. I made the ATC black, white and silver to maintain that theme. Both stamps are from Paper Artsy. The paper is from a Papermania black and white paper stack, and the little silver stars are from a sheet of Anita's 3D stickers.

Tag Mad!

After making the Fairy tag, I made three more tags! They are all cut from the McKenna pad I used for the fairy tag, and are all 3 x 6. The first two use stamps from Paper Artsy's Squiggly Ink range. I had not used this style of stamp before and I am very pleased with the results.

The third tag uses stamps from three different companies. It's often surprising how well items from different manufacturers work together. The tree stamp is by Rubber Stampede, the railings by Magnolia, and the owl is from a Hero Arts set. I stamped him on a bit of HOTP paper and cut him out. The trees are stamped with Ariondacks Woodlands ink pad.

Tag You're It - Fairies

This is my first attempt at this challenge. I cut a 3 x 6 tag from a piece of K & Co McKenna paper (from their pad of double-sided, textured paper) and stamped using three stamps from Faerysong. I added some Prima flowers attached with copper brads, and a copper eyelet threaded with pink and brown sheer ribbons. I've enjoyed doing this challenge and hope to participate again.

Sunday Stampers Challenge - Games People Play

I bought an old wooden jigsaw today and thought it would be a great idea to use a piece for this challenge. I blended some Distress Inks on the wood surface, they worked extremely well. Then I stamped the Dominoes, this stamp comes from a set by Cherry Pie. I stamped the two words (from a Tuscan Rose set) on some co-ordinating paper and edged them with some black ink. I added two buttons as a finishing touch.

If anyone is worried I may have used a piece from a desirable rare jigsaw, I didn't.

In My Pocket - Ribbons

What a bit of luck I bought some new velvet ribbons yesterday. And how fortunate that they match this lovely piece of Cosmo Cricket double-sided paper. The flower stamps are from a 'budget-priced' range called Studio G, I think they are very good value and very useful! I stamped them on the flap and then added some I had stamped on red paper. The 'Velvet' word comes from a Paper Artsy Buttons plate. The ribbons also come from a budget-priced range but they feel very nice. I added a sliding clasp from Scrapz to one ribbon. The 'Look inside' phrase is part of a Catslife Press stamp, and the photo turns and brads are from Papermania.

Skinny with Wings

A textured mountboard Skinny. I brayered some Distress Inks on and stamped the wonderful Paper Artsy feather. All the other images are theirs too. I heat embossed the words with gold and added a gold scrap crown to the lady.

Butterfly House

This is the larger version of the house below. I cut this one out of mountboard and added colour with Distress Inks. I spritzed and dried them. The images are all from Tuscan Rose.

In The Cat House

This little house comes from one of Dan's wonderful free templates - but this one is no longer available so please don't ask him for it. I brayered some Distress Inks onto the house shape, stamped some weird Paper Artsy images and stamped their cat on a piece of fawny patterned paper and put it in the window.

Sunday Stampers Challenge - Flowers

Being the owner of very few flower stamps I always find any challenge that calls for both flowers and stamping a bit tricky. However a free stamp from Craft Stamper and a Habico tapestry stamp set came to the rescue this time. I have made a fat page. I embossed the central image with holographic powder, and once I was happy with the tapestry frame, added some gold glitter glue to some of the flower centres. The background paper comes from a Papermania pad called 'Warm Tones'.

My First House

This is my first house. It's about ATC size. I cut it out to my own design. The background colour is Ariondack Wild Flowers inkpad applied with a brayer. The railings stamp is by Magnolia and the rest are Paper Artsy. I am quite pleased with this first attempt.

In My Pocket - Bird

This is currently my favourite challenge! I used some lovely double-sided K & Co paper from their 12x12 Verbena Scrap Pad to Go. The stamps are from Paper Artsy, from two of their Wings plates. I love the feather stamp. I matted the phrase and bird image onto gold mirri card. The photo turn and brad are from Papermania.

Sunday Stampers Challenge - Eyes

I hope my entry for this challenge is acceptable because I don't have any stamps of eyes, just stamps about them! I used some lovely Catslife Press stamps for this. It's an ATC with a fold-over flap. I coloured it with Dusty Concord, Worn Lipstick and Faded Jeans Distress Inks and then spritzed them. The result was swiftly dried with my heat gun. The black photo turn and brad are from Papermania.
