Sketch Saturday

I have done really well today and made two challenge projects on the day they are set! For this card I used papers from an Anita's pad (these papers are really lovely) and a Forever Friends bear.

Penny Black Challenge - No Patterned Paper

I used a blue card blank and two shades of Bazzill card for this challenge. I added some strips of glitter peel-offs and a glitter snowflake and greeting. I'm very pleased with how the bear has turned out.

House Mouse Challenge - Polka Dots

This is my first Happy Hopper card. I covered a white card in pale pink vellum, added the strip of dotty paper, and matted the image on gold mirri card. I secured the vellum with some little flower brads.

Penny Black Challenge - Funky Christmas

This is rather late but I haven't had much time to concentrate on crafting recently! I used some vividly-coloured paper and some grosgrain ribbon for this card, with some peel-off words as a greeting.

Tag You're It - Sketch

I love sketches! I used a cream mountboard tag, and stamped a Forever Friends image and greeting. They are on the same stamp but I did them separately by covering them up with a piece of paper when inking. I coloured the bear with Distress Inks. The papers are from Anita's Christmas range. I really like the set they come from. I added a Forever Friends robin sticker and some thin gold peel-off borders.

House Mouse Challenge - Christmas

I used some fancy papers for this card, red flock for the background and matt gold embossed for the mat. I coloured the mice with Distress Inks and found Tattered Rose really good for their non-furry bits! I coloured the bells with Sakura Stardust and a water brush. The ribbon is Anita's and comes on a reel.

Penny Black Challenge - Monochromatic

I chose the blue/silver/white colour scheme for this project. I think the blue bear is great! I used Distress Inks and Sakura Stardust pens to colour him in. The backing paper is from Dovecraft and the silver glitter and white paper is handmade. I added a sticky ribbon and some gems to finish. Sadly the picture does not capture the full effect of the glitter!

Tag You're It - Red and Green

For this tag I used some green mountboard and sparkly handmade papers. The letters are cardstock stickers from Papermania.

Christmas ATC

This is one of 38 (that's right) ATCs I have made for a swap I am entering on Craft Swap Forum. This mouse is so cute. I used some paper from Dovecraft's Christmas Blues papers from last year. The mat and greeting are not black, the scanner does not like shiny silver things!

Two In A Shoe

What a delightful pair! No more shoe jokes I promise. I made this card for a lady's birthday. The papers come from HOTP Icy Rainbow book.

Better Late Than Never!

Oh dear! This is my entry for last week's House Mouse challenge. I am very late :-( . Anyway the theme was to use something that would otherwise be thrown away. The ribbon and fabric flower arrangement in the bottom right corner was on a box of chocolates. Much too pretty to throw out, and much better used on a card! I used K & Co paper on the card, some iridescent paper as a mat, and some glittery paper ribbon borders. What a cute stamp!

House Mouse Challenge - Recipe

I covered a card in red paper and added a mat cut from a sheet of 7 Gypsies paper. The scallop-edged mount was not an easy thing for me to make as I have no punches or machines to cut this out. I found a scallop-edged border from a scrapbook kit and cut round that, making sure it was lined up properly to create an even shape. The white band across the bottom is made of felt, with a ribbon on top, and I thought the shape of the two buttons complemented the red mat. When I finished I realised I'd made a Valentine's card in November!

Penny Black Challenge - Sparkly

The world's smallest and bravest dog watches fireworks! I hope this is ok but he seems to be enjoying himself.

Sketch Saturday

I used Anna Griffin papers, black card and a sticky ribbon for this card. The image is from The Queen's Dresser Drawers. I felt the sketch itself was quite Art Deco so I think that led me to using this image.

Cute Card Thursday - Drinks

I hope this is alright - I had no suitable stamps so I used a Francien's Fairy decoupage instead. I think she's dipping into the cream on top of a cup of hot chocolate. I really like the rainbow paper on the background, it goes with these fairies very well.
