Cuttlebug Snowman

This snowman is made using a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder called Snow Fun, by Rob and Bob Studio. It can also be used to make baubles.

House Mouse Challenge - Something Natural

I used some handmade paper for the three mats on this card, and some cotton lace for a border. The finishing touch is a Prima hessian flower.

Sketch Saturday

This lovely fairy image comes from Faery Song. I used papers and vellum from the old HOTP Icy Rainbow pad, as well as a circle of dark purple iridescent paper. The flowers are Primas, and the ribbon is an Anita's Sticky Ribbon.

Tag You're It - Christmas Tree

I stayed very simple with this one, and used some glittery handmade paper. The tree is my own drawing cut out. I added some red peel-off words and a red ribbon to finish.

Cute Card Thursday - Stars

This was a bit difficult for me until I remembered my cute snowman family stamp. They are lovely! I stamped them on white paper and coloured them with Distress Inks, then cut them out. I placed them on a background created with Distress Inks, and then added some peel-off stars. I matted the picture onto some silver and purple iridescent paper.

A New Stamp

I bought a set of three of these head stamps from Scrapz. They are by Zettiology and I think they're great. The word stamps are by Catslife Press and the tiny dragonfly is from a Paper Artsy Wings plate. The bow is from a set of gold German scrap from Paper Artsy.

House Mouse Challenge - Anything But A Card!

A BIA notebook. I used mountboard for the covers. I'm afraid I don't know who made the flowery paper. This stamp is called 'Piece Corps' and this is the first time I've used it.

MTTC - Personalisation

This theme gave me the chance to make a Bind-It-All notebook. I haven't used my BIA for some time. This is a notebook with a friend's name on it. I used mountboard for the covers, and used some paper and chipboard letters from a QVC scrapbook kit. The dog is a Penny Black image and I painted him with Distress Inks.

TMTA - Hallowe'en

This is one of my favourite themes so I made three ATCs! I coloured them all with Distress Inks, and then stamped using images from Cherry Pie's Gothic Hallowe'en set. The bats on the first ATC are from a bag of Hallowe'en confetti.

Make a Moo or Two

This theme required some thought and then I remembered one of my favourite sets of Paper Artsy stamps. I masked off the house after stamping it on a blank Moo. This is done by stamping the image again on a piece of scrap paper, cutting it out and placing it over the original image to avoid getting colour on it. I applied some Distress Inks to the Moo, removed the mask and stamped the arrows. I added some 3d gloss to the arrows.

Witches' Hat

This project has been in the pipeline for a while. A few years ago I had some chocolates at Hallowe'en time in a witches' hat shaped box. I kept the box and this year made a template for it. This was quite easy - open the box out and draw round it. This could probably be done with almost any box you wanted to make your own version of. I coloured my hat with Distress Inks and then stamped various images onto it. The main image on the front is from Cherry Pie's Gothic Hallowe'en set, which is fabulous and available from Scrapz.

Gothic Arches - Paper Patchwork

I used textured and flat papers from a K & Co McKenna pad for this project. Then I stamped three Queen's Dresser Drawers images and added them to the arch. I put some Prima flowers and old buttons on as a final touch. I am always on the look out for old buttons. The ones on the flowers on the right of the arch are covered in cloth and can be coloured with inks and chalks. They are quite old - not sure what they were used for.

Penny Black Challenge - ATC

I got a new embossing folder for my Cuttlebug this week and it is wonderful. I used it for this ATC, then added this so-cute image of the three little mice. I coloured them with Distress Inks. I put some Stickles Frosted Lace glitter glue on the bun icing, then added a Prima flower and an old button to the corner.

Sketch Saturday

I found some packs of 7 Gypsies papers in a drawer and decided to use some of them for this challenge. I love the dark red colour. The lady is from a Paper Artsy Wings plate. If anyone knows of challenge blogs for Paper Artsy, please let me know!

Tag You're It - Pink, Green and Brown

What a great colour combination! I used papers from K & Co to create this tag. The lady is a Catslife Press stamp. I added some 3d gloss to her crown, pearls and dress. I used a piece of brown bias binding on the right, with some rick-rack braid on top. The flowers are small Primas. Really enjoyed creating this tag.

Cute Card Thursday - Autumn

I didn't have any autumnal cute images, so decided to place a cute image in an autumnal setting. I think this cute Catslife Press kitty is just longing to play in these fallen leaves. I stamped the leaves individually and cut them out, applying some of them with 3d foam dots for more dimension.

My Time To Craft Challenge - Doodling

I like doing little drawings, so this was a good challenge theme for me. I drew the little house and trees in pencil first, then coloured them with Whispers pens, and then outlined them in black pen. I made the ATC background using a cute little Paper Artsy swirl stamp, and added some Prima flowers in colours to match the drawing.

Gothic Arch - Haute Couture

I have kept this very simple so that the smart lady stands out. She is very stylish. I found her in my decoupage box and cut her out. I added some old buttons to the black arch. I'm very pleased with this.

House Mouse Challenge - Sketch

This is the first time I've taken part in this challenge, my opportunities being limited by the small selection of House Mouse images available to me. However, I love a sketch challenge, and thought this mouse was ideal. I'm afraid I don't know who made the papers I used, but the flowers are by Paper Cellar. I cut the circles by hand after drawing round the inside and outside of a couple of rolls of DST.

Penny Black Challenge - Thank You

This is a quite a simple ATC but I think it's effective. I embossed the ATC blank on the Cuttlebug, stamped and coloured the hedgehog, and added a jewel dragonfly and a peel-off greeting.

Sketch Saturday

I am new to this challenge and was very impressed by the quality of the DT cards. I hope this one of mine is up to scratch (if you pardon the pun). I began by placing a black mat on the white card, followed by some paper from DCVW Oriental stack. The pink paper came from Papermania's Oriental Spice pad. I cut the oval ( a bit tricky seeing as I haven't any shape cutting gadgets) and some squares from the black card. On these I put Prima flowers with pearl brads, and a stamped image from the same set as the lovely cat. These stamps are by Pink Cat Studio and are wonderful. I added some colour to the cat with Sakura Stardust gel pens.

Tag You're It - Autumn

The card for this tag comes from HOTP's book 'Earth Tones'. The tree stamp is by Rubber Stampede and is one of my favourite stamps. I made the word Autumn using some peel-off letters that look like joined-up writing when placed correctly. I added some Prima flowers and a collection of fibres in suitable colours.

Make A Moo or Two - Dance

This is a faux stamp of an Argentinian dancer. I edged it with Fiskars Deckle egde scissors and matted it onto some distressed-effect gold card. I set some eyelets at the bottom for the ribbon to be threaded through, and at the top I added a Prima flower, adhesive gem and a Tim Holtz 'Doo-dad'.

Cute Card Thursday - Buttons and Bows

I love this cute bear! I stamped him and coloured him with coloured pencils. I used some Papermania paper, organza ribbon, a Prima flower and an old button.

Cute Card Thursday - Christmas Animals

I bought a set of Forever Friends bear stamps at a fair last month and hadn't used them until I made this card last night. I stamped the bear on watercolour paper and coloured him using Distress Inks. The papers are from the Forever Friends 'Christmas Glow' pad.

Small World of Inchies - Fall

I have to say I prefer the word 'Autumn'! I am a bit late with this one. I stamped a Crafty Individuals leaf onto paper from K & Co's lovely McKenna pad, added a green flower jewel and the peel-off letters.

Make A Moo or Two - Clocks

Only one Moo this time, and just the one clock. These images come from the HOTP picture book Vintage. I sprayed the lady with silver Cosmic Shimmer, attached the clock with a silver brad and stapled on the scrap of ribbon.

Penny Black Challenge - Sketch

I decided to make an ATC for this challenge. I used a dark pink blank and some double-sided papers that were given away in a craft magazine. I coloured the little dog with Distress Ink. As I have no gadgets to cut out shapes I had to draw round things to make the circles and the rounded corners on the card. My thanks to a pot of Heat It Up clear embossing powder, a Cosmic Shimmer spray bottle and a penny! I added a Prima flower and Woodware brad to finish.

Tag You're It - Altered Fabric Flowers

The papers on this tag and the label come from HOTP's Vintage book, which I like so much I have two copies! The flowers are silk and I got them from WH Smith. I stamped them with a Hero Arts tiny swirl and a Paper Artsy bigger swirl. I attached them and the label with gold brads.

Penny Black Challenge - Seasons

Having recently acquired some Penny Black stamps, I am delighted to be able to join in with this Challenge. I thought the cat image was very summery. I stamped the cat on smooth watercolour paper and coloured it with Distress Ink and Whispers pens. I took some paper from a Dovecraft pad and put it on the buff-coloured card. I put the glitter ribbon greeting border on and then attached the paper flowers with large brads. Hope this entry to acceptable!

Make A Moo or Two - Wings

Well, I made a Moo or four! These Moos form a set or stand alone. I cut them from cream mountboard and coloured with Distress Inks. The stamps come from Paper Artsy Wings plates. I love the dragonflies.

Gothic Arch - Your Choice

For this Challenge this week we chose our own theme. So I decided to make a Hallowe'en arch. I cut it from burnt orange mountboard and added some Distress Inks to the edges. The stamps are clear ones from Clever Cut and Snag 'Em. The central image comes from the ATC Collection book Mixed Holiday.

Tag You're It - Sketch

I really enjoy these kind of challenges. For this tag I used papers from K & Co's McKenna pad, and stamps from the Penny Black clear set 'Critter Party'. I just love this funny dog. I added a Prima flower, some Papermania adhesive gems and some rick-rack braid to finish. I also put some 3D gloss on the rose. More challenges like this, please!
